Estia Health Glen Waverley is a welcoming and light-filled home offering care to the east Melbourne community. Located on a quiet residential street, the home backs on to Bogong Reserve and is close to local shops and buses, a short drive to the train station.

About the role

Estia Health Glen Waverley has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RNIC) to join their team to cover a 12 Month Maternity Leave Cover role. 

  • Registered Nurse In Charge (Maternity Leave Cover Role - Fixed Term Part Time Contract)
  • Contract dates: 28 January 2025 to 27 January 2026 (12 Months)
  • RNIC Shifts (Grade 4 Year 1): 6 Shifts a fortnight

Week 1

  • Monday ND 2145-0715
  • Saturday PM 1500-2200
  • Sunday ND 2145-0715

Week 2

  • Monday ND 2145-0715
  • Saturday PM 1500-2200
  • Sunday ND 2145-0715

A comfort to our residents, a leader to the team – being a great nurse is all about how you make people feel. On a typical day, you’ll:

  • See to our residents’ medical needs.
  • Put together clinical documentation.
  • Be a leader to staff, helping them to grow.
  • Be a health and safety role model.
  • Take pride in what you do and maintain the highest standard of work.

You’ll be someone who is empathetic and who’s previously worked in an aged care home. You’ll also have:

  • A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
  • Leadership experience in clinical care
  • A nursing degree and current AHPRA registration
  • Solid documentation skills and knowledge of ANAAC
