About the role

  • 2 days per week. Can be worked in conjunction with current roster and days will be discussed

The IPC is to lead infection prevention initiatives and compliance within the home. It is a role required by the Government in all aged care homes. This role involves:

  • Infection prevention strategies are in place in the home
  • Ensure processes are followed
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on infection prevention practices and documentation
  • Be a leader to staff, helping them to grow.
  • Be a health and safety role model.
  • Take pride in what you do and maintain the highest standard of work.

You’ll be someone who is empathetic and who’s previously worked in an aged care home. You’ll also have:

  • A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
  • Leadership experience in clinical care
  • A nursing degree and current AHPRA registration
  • Solid documentation skills and knowledge of infection prevention processes
