About the role - IPC Lead
- Part Time 3 days per week - flexibility to work any 3 days Monday to Friday
- 9am to 5pm
A comfort to our residents, a leader to the team, on a typical day, you’ll:
- Lead the implementation of our infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Monitor team compliance with infection control standards and practices
- Provide expert, up-to-date advice on infection prevention and control
- Support continuous improvement of the home's infection control program
- Participate in professional development, including IPC Lead Community of Practice meetings
- Mentor and coach team members in best-practice infection prevention
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Quality and Health & Safety teams
You’ll be someone who is empathetic, with a real desire to make a difference in people's lives. Aside from previous experience working in an aged care home, you'll also have:
- Clinical background with current AHPRA registration (e.g. RN or EN)
- Experience in infection prevention and control within aged care
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices
- Ability to lead, influence, and support others in infection control practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in coaching and mentoring team members
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
